Creating Emotionally Strong Classrooms

SEL is an integral part of early childhood development. In this workshop teachers will learn different strategies that will help them imbed social and emotional learning in their daily classroom routine, with every interaction, connection, and moment. Social and Emotional education helps kids  manage and understand their emotions, to establish relationships with their peers, adults and for feeling and showing empathy/ compassion to others.

Embedding Cultural Humility 

This professional development session is designed to equip early childhood educators with the knowledge and skills to embed cultural humility in their practices, fostering inclusive and responsive learning environments for all children and families. Cultural humility goes beyond traditional cultural competence by emphasizing ongoing reflection, self-awareness, and a commitment to understanding and valuing the diverse backgrounds of students and their families. Participants will learn practical strategies to promote equity, respect, and partnership within their classrooms.

Dissecting Behaviors

This professional development session is designed to help early childhood educators understand the root causes of challenging behaviors and equip them with strategies to promote positive behavior in the classroom. Through a deeper understanding of why behaviors occur, educators can respond in a more effective, compassionate, and proactive manner. This training will provide tools for identifying triggers, addressing underlying needs, and implementing evidence-based strategies that support children’s social-emotional growth and self-regulation.

Classroom Management

This professional development session is designed for early childhood educators to develop effective classroom management strategies and establish consistent routines that foster a positive learning environment for young children. By building predictable routines and using proactive classroom management techniques, educators can reduce challenging behaviors and support children’s social-emotional development. Participants will learn how to create structured, yet flexible, environments that meet the diverse needs of preschoolers while promoting independence, cooperation, and a sense of belonging.

Transformative Family Engagement

This professional development session is designed to equip early childhood educators with the tools and strategies needed to build strong, meaningful partnerships with families. Engaging families in their child’s learning fosters a collaborative environment that supports children’s academic, social, and emotional growth. This training will focus on developing culturally humble practices, enhancing communication with families, and creating inclusive opportunities for family participation in the early education setting. Cultivating Inclusive Classrooms - Equity & Inclusion

This training is designed for educators, administrators, and staff committed to fostering an inclusive classroom environment that meets the diverse needs of all students. Participants will explore practical strategies for creating a welcoming, supportive, and culturally responsive classroom where every student feels valued and has equitable access to learning. The session will provide tools to promote inclusivity in academic instruction, social-emotional development, and classroom management, with a special focus on understanding and addressing the unique needs of students from various backgrounds, including those with disabilities, different learning styles, and cultural differences.

Creating Multisensory Environments: Designing Sensory-Strong Classrooms for Enhanced Learning

This professional development session focuses on the principles and practices of creating multisensory environments in early childhood classrooms. Participants will explore how to design sensory-rich classrooms that engage multiple senses, catering to diverse learning styles and developmental needs. By incorporating various sensory experiences, educators can enhance student engagement, promote self-regulation, and support social-emotional development. This training will provide practical strategies for integrating sensory activities into daily routines and creating an inviting classroom atmosphere that fosters exploration, creativity, and learning.

Mastering Classroom Dynamics


In this engaging and interactive professional development session, participants will discover the keys to mastering classroom dynamics through effective organization, thoughtful curriculum planning, and efficient time management. Designed for early childhood educators and staff from youth-serving organizations, this training will provide practical strategies to create vibrant, structured learning environments that foster children's development and enhance their educational experiences. Educators will learn how to arrange their classrooms to promote engagement, develop curricula that resonate with children’s interests, and manage their time effectively to maximize learning opportunities.
 

Keeping Kids Safe

Developed by the Children's Trust Organization Stop Child Abuse | Children's Trust Massachusetts (childrenstrustma.org), This training will teach staff knowledge, skills and attitudes to prevent child sexual abuse. Topics discussed: safe environment, working with parents, prevention strategies, protective factors, signs and symptoms and responding to disclosures.
